Collateral activities for the 8th Conference on Cultural Diversity in Camagüey

As part of the collateral activities for the 8th Conference on Cultural Diversity, hosted by the Office of the Historian of Camagüey City from 19th to 21st, several institutions have pronounced with actions.

Since yesterday afternoon, it began the presentation and debate of Spanish films at the UNEAC headquarters. The Conference is dedicated this year to this country. The cycle was opened by the film “Paco de Lucía: La búsqueda”, by director Francisco Sánchez Varela; and its presentation was in charge of Armando Pérez Padrón.

On Wednesday 15th at 5pm, on the same stage, the film “Yuli” will be exhibited. It is dedicated to the life of Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta. This time the presenter will be the prestigious writer and researcher Olga García Yero.

Culminating this cycle dedicated to Spain, after the activities of the 25th National Workshop for Cinematographic Reviews that will embrace spaces such as the Nuevo Mundo movie complex, the Multicine Casablanca and the House of the Young Creator on Wednesday 29 the documentary “The mystery of Picasso” will be shown, which will make it possible for spectators to contemplate the technique and way of working of one of the geniuses of the 20th century.

In addition, the Quinta Amalia Simoni, Provincial and the Birthplace of Ignacio Agramonte will show exhibitions of visual arts dedicated to Spain.
