Living up to 100 years is rare and always causes us admiration, it is even more curious to surpass them and celebrate 110. This is what happens today, on September 7th, with Eva de Miranda, the daughter of Mambí Don Agustín de Miranda, who was in charge of keeping a relic related to the Constitution of Guáimaro, and talk about it to his heirs.

Her years no longer allow her to strike up a conversation, so her daughter Noris is the one who, fulfilling the family will, found us to share this beautiful story, that some time ago we published about “his holy treasure of the country” and also about the history of his father, who offered a dignified burial of Joaquín de Agüero.

Eva has lived proud of her lineage and has taught to love the homeland, not only her descendants, but everyone who was close. Her skills for crafts were passed to several generations.

Today, by blowing out 110 candles, the mambí’s daughter not only honors the memory of her father and the country, but also offers a beautiful life lesson, since she has been happy with her ideals and has instilled in her family her love for our country. Happy Birthday Eva!
