The Camagüey Railway Museum is an interactive space that preserves heritage values and offers, from the most contemporary technology facilities, a familiarization tour with the industrial heritage and railway work in Cuba.
Inaugurated last February as part of the works for the 25th anniversary of the Office of Historian of Camagüey city, the institution is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. while on Sundays it closes its doors at 2 in the afternoon.
Interesting are the options that you can find in the museum, designed for all types of audiences. We have tours guided by specialists, in which you use new technologies, as well as a visit to the train model, a unique wooden miniature of its kind in the country; They invite you to an imaginary journey through the history of the railroad in Camagüey. In addition, there are activities for the little ones with the participation of the city’s artistic talent.
Since its inauguration to date, the Museum has had a positive impact on the community, with a total of 5,384 adult visitors and 3,410 minors. The facility’s specialists work every day to offer a better service, open to criticism and suggestions from the public. There are still actions in the project that are being prepared for the future and to provide the visitors with a more amusing experience.
