The Heritage Interpretation Center was inaugurated on February 22nd, in the General Cemetery of Camagüey, the oldest one in Cuba. It is about the reuse and repair of the place that previously functioned as a morgue that dates back to the beginning of the 20th century.
This new Interpretation Center meets the objective of preserving the architectural and historical values of Camagüey; its history, personalities and inhabitants. The Historian’s Office prioritizes the diversification of projects and studies, as well as the analysis of the remains of personalities such as Ignacio Agramonte and Joaquín de Agüero.
