With the summer season approaching, the Office of the Historian of Camagüey city, as usual, prepares a special program where fun and knowledge are exactly mixed.
What are the premises for this summer?
Through the joint work of the specialists in the different cultural institutions of the Office, the main objective is to achieve the participation of the city’s public, and offer options for the whole family. It also seeks to strengthen the system of activities with strategies that are viable according to the current situation. Strengthen the Creative Industries management model and promote the presence of the Arte Plaza project in summer activities.
During the summer season, the cultural actors involved in the Project have designed a cultural program based on the mainstreaming lines: gender identity, feminism, environmentalism, animal protection and racial issues; to promote the enterprises and institutions that comprise it.
For example, events such as the International Colloquium of the Guillen Foundation, the annual event of the Comic Art project, and the Nicolás Guillén Poetry Festival are sponsored. Among the activities designed with the participation of entrepreneurs are: With a woman’s gaze, which links Casa Madiba and the QueNegra initiative, the Tails and Footprints workshop with the presence of veterinarians and animal protection volunteers, and the CreArte workshop for promote recycling. In addition, some of the entrepreneurs will be an essential part of the infrastructure of services for the operation of the summer, supporting transportation and gastronomic services.
What other suggestions can you find in the programming?
