The students of the Mártires de Camagüey secondary school and specialists from the Provincial Center of Plastic Arts met at the Railway Museum to receive a new comic book, this time dedicated to the iron road.

The presenter of the text, a member of the heritage cartoon museum, Vitrina de Valonia, in Havana, was in charge of bringing the copy that tells the adventures of a ghost train, in an imaginary town: Coronado.

In her intervention, she thanked the artists from Camagüey who created the images of the book, which, in addition, was donated to the railway institution, to contribute to its material heritage.

A journey on rails

A tour of the different stations of the institution preceded the meeting, as part of the XII Comic Art Day, which takes place in the city until July 9th, with guests from all over the country.

The Museum, together with the contest, provided adolescents with an approach to the history of the railway and its arrival in the city, as part of the summer proposals, while they joined the celebrations of this July 7th, which marks the anniversary 14th of the declaration of a part of our Historic Center, as cultural heritage of humanity.

Once again from a manifestation of the arts, we contribute to the preservation of heritage, this time from the caricature, to approach the scars of some forgotten roads, which can tell us the history of any ancient Cuban town, built on the iron road. .
