Today was the self-evaluation workshop of the first year of implementation of Arte Plaza, a project of Creative Industries in Camagüey, which is carried out by the Office of the Historian of Camagüey city in conjunction with the Non-Governmental Organizations Care France and Oikos.
At the meeting, the results of this first stage were presented, which was greatly limited by the situation of COVID-19 in the national territory.
Even so, the first steps were taken in its implementation, such as the synergy with the Cienfuegos project Trazos Libres and different training workshops for the personnel in charge of leading the process.
For a second stage, it is planned to continue the work started with the pilot test in San Juan de Dios square and then extend the experience to the rest of the public spaces involved in the project.
Creative industries represent a contribution to heritage management and local socioeconomic development from the cultural revitalization of the main public spaces in the Historic Center of Camagüey.
