The young student Jesús Suárez Gayol is immersed in the shocked situation produced by the assault on power and will soon stand out within the heterogeneous mass, which will place him in the vanguard.

His courage is legendary; it is enough to remember that on January 28th, 1956, in that protest that he went to the José Martí Park in Camagüey to pay tribute to the National Hero and where, in the absence of a platform, he used the shoulders of a companion. There the henchmen attack him, beat him and arrest him along with a large group of students.

These few examples are enough to give a partial idea of the responsibility of Jesús Suárez Gayol, for which he became a potential danger to the order that wanted to impose through its repressive force, the shameful regime.
