During childbirth, a woman feels the pain of twenty broken bones at the same time; but the maternal feeling is stronger than the suffering of that moment. With her mixture of sensitivity and strength, woman builds and creates on earth; and although the description of her sweet ability seems like a poem, only the facts show her greatness.

Many generations and historical conjunctures have seen the birth of incredible women, women who in men’s times inscribed intelligence pages, women who in time of war overflowed with courage for the liberation of their homeland, women who beyond their delicate body gave their hearts for realize a dream.

61 years after the creation of an organization that knew how to join efforts for the recognition of women and their ideas in Cuba, for equality in all areas and levels of society, providing its contribution to the training and well-being of the new generations; we celebrate with pride and commitment.

In all the neighborhoods, institutions and even in the most intricate places there are federated women who dedicate themselves to the noble task of being useful to society. From the organization that is in charge of ensuring the care of Camagüey’s heritage, these restless workers also multiply, planning a budget, transmitting messages, directing a project or focusing on the most viable way for the urbanization of the city.

To all of them, dedicated women, professionals and above all in love with the city and its memories: congratulations.
