The book Associations of blacks and mestizos in the city of Camagüey (1879-1961) their contributions to social development, by the author Kesia Zabrina Henry Knight; It was the proposal of El Lugareño imprint, the Historian’s Office and the Ácana publishing house

The traditional space Saturday of the Book that develops monthly, the Provincial Center of Books and Literature and the publisher from Camagüey; visited the Santa Cecilia Convention Center to share among good music and friends, a book that pays off a debt with the black and mestizo community and calls for an exercise of memory that can provide us with lessons for the present and future.

In a panel made up of the author of the book, Dr. Jorge Veranes and the director of Ácana publishing house, Evelyn Queipo; it was debated about the experience provided by the exciting theme of black and mestizo families in Camagüey due to their social practices, to achieve goals in diverse contexts.

Undoubtedly, it was a unique proposal to continue discovering another piece of our local history.
