The NGO Camaquito, together with the Japanese embassy, made a donation for the Héroes del Moncada special school, devoted to children with autism spectrum disorders.

The project developed by the International Relations Department of the Office of the Historian, will strengthen the socio-educational development of children, with a better relationship between schools, homes and public spaces.

The new equipment will complement the work carried out by the Historian’s Office, an institution that sponsors the school and is also responsible for maintaining the image and good constructional condition of the property.

The equipment

The donation includes 10 computers, air conditioning equipment and furniture, school and sports supplies, musical equipment and instruments, tricycles and velocipedes, furniture and shelves for the classrooms, blackboards of various sizes, toys, costumes and fabrics for making them, electrical equipment for the kitchen, among other items.

Big benefits

Everything to pay tribute to that special education, which, due to the characteristics of its students, requires not only the trained personnel they already have, but also various areas for individual attention and, above all, the tools to make the learning process effective.

With tears coming from her eyes and genuine emotion, the director of the center, Lic. Yudelis Pérez Carlos and her labour collective, mostly made up of women, received this donation, born from the hearts of those friends of Cuba, who will allow with their work, that when the school year starts on November 7th, students will have better conditions to enter the path of knowledge.
