Its importance

The GEPAC project, financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation- COSUDE, has been an important support for the management of the Office in recent times, translated into the acquisition of equipment, means of protection and office supplies, which support the work of the different cultural areas and institutions. At the same time, it ensures a space for training and learning, with the realization of different workshops and symposiums and exchanges between the members of the Network of Offices of the Historian and the Curator of the Patrimonial Cities of Cuba.

With the financing guaranteed by GEPAC, in its two previous stages, it was possible to conclude important works on which they had been working for some years and which were inaugurated during the the 25th Anniversary of the Institution: the Railway Museum, Interpretation Center of the Cemetery and Smart Classroom. Attractive spaces based on the use of new technologies combined with the work of the professionals of the center that constitute an opportunity for the inhabitants of the city to guarantee knowledge and generate jobs and offer foreign visitors a better experience for the enjoyment of history and the traditions of the city.
