As defenders of the truth and accurate information, the Adelante newspaper collective has maintained from its foundation to date, a high commitment to the fairest causes.

The weekly publication in the form of a tabloid with eight pages that reflects the events of the province and other information of a general nature, has the virtue of have been born on January 12th, 1959; year in which the Cuban Revolution triumphs.

This media outlet has maintained feedback through calls from readers, acknowledging the work to disseminate realities and, at the same time, publishing solutions and constructive criticisms of problems.

Fully identified with the principles of the Revolution, its national laws and foreign policy, Adelante has been a protagonist in the battle waged by the Cubans against the hostility and aggressions of the imperialism. It has contributed to forge the capacity for resistance, struggle, and political and ideological awareness that are essential for Cuba to continue to be a light on the path, and thus guide the peoples’ desire for freedom and independence.
