Capturing the essence of the stories that people and places have is a gift that is brought from the cradle, some outline it with the study; while others look around and connect with the singular. Camagüey is a magical place where history has left and leaves impregnated every space, their children are also carriers of those essences.

Our chronicler Jesmir Varona Socías turns on the light in this effort to discover each soul and scene, in this compilation entitled Camagüey: saved chronicles.

The trip is essential food to build her work and marks the right step in the year 2016 with chronicles such as that of the Chinese Doctor, the Horoscope Vendor, the Duende del Bache until present-day with the Teacher from the Sierra and so many others that fall in love through each letter.

The invitation is made for us to travel together with the chronicles that were saved through time and their restless author, who sees every moment of our Camagüey with her heart.
