For a happy day

Children, those little jewels that we treasure in our homes, are the ones who have suffered the most psychologically from the effects of this pandemic; because, undoubtedly, they do not know how to analyze in total depth the resounding danger to which we are all subjected.

This environment complicates their best behavior and even brings changes in their personality; I dare to affirm without being a specialist.

 Learning and loving us

But this does not imply at all that we, the adults who accompany them, do not do the unspeakable to increase their protection and look for different alternatives, in which they can entertain themselves and even learn in a fun way. An example of this are the content taught in teleclasses, which can become pleasant, expected and useful moments in their lives.

Of course we know this is very difficult, but not at all impossible, because I know cases that have taken advantage of this time to strengthen family relationships and as Chamaquili has told us in his long-awaited, friendly and didactic messages, they have been able to achieve better communication with their families.

A Celebration…

Soon we will celebrate Children’s Day, the third Sunday of the seventh month of the year, and like last year, the usual celebrations will not be possible; but there are many virtual surprises…

For example, the Office of the Historian already has a summer plan where workshops and other activities are contemplated, therefore the little ones will be able to enjoy in some way, and through different alternatives, as we are used to; of various activities that will try to make that day a special one as well as the rest of the summer vacation.

That is why I believe now is when we will have to be more careful with the little ones, because it is no secret to anyone that cases at these ages increase, and we, to a large extent, are responsible.

Let us try to celebrate that date reducing the number of infants suffering from this disease and only then will we have fulfilled the great duty and legacy that civic education demands of us, and then proclaim with the joy that Elpidio Valdés always does: “Happy day compatriots”.
