The house of cultural diversity of Camagüey, belonging to the Office of the Historian (OHCC, by its acronym in Spanish), promotes the knowledge and visibility of the various artistic and cultural expressions of our identity.
The institution has four exhibition rooms with elements of Camagüey identity, not only about its music and dance but also about its religious beliefs.
The house investigates and promotes facts related to foreign immigration to the city, for this reason it has a conference room, and a scientific-technical information room.
It has an interior patio available to the population for cultural activities.
In the 70’s the residence was turned into offices for the use of the CUPET company, once it became the property of the OHCC, a project to rescue its architectural values has been developed there. Intervention for which it was awarded with the 2011 National Restoration Prize and the Gold Medal from the National College of Architects.
