The Office of the Historian of the city of Camagüey invites you to participate in the International Video Production Competition Edition “New beginning. New Vision. New City”.
Due to the recognition and dissemination of our identity values at an international level, the Office of the Historian of Camagüey city encourages young people between the ages of 14 and 21 to present projects for the production of an audiovisual of up to 5 minutes, according to the theme explained below. The projects will be received at the headquarters of the Institutional Communication Groups, located at Maceo street no. 61 (second floor), telephone 32282628. The chosen projects will be given advice and supported with technical resources, with the aim of guaranteeing an audiovisual material up to what our city deserves. The deadline for submitting projects to the Communication Group is February 10th, 2021. The contest rules are:
The OWHC (Organization of World Heritage Cities) is proud to launch the 6th edition of the International Video Production Competition. This competition is intended for young people of to two age groups: from 14 to 17 years old and from 18 to 21 years old. At the invitation of the cities that are part of the OWHC network and that have registered, the young people will be asked to produce a video of a maximum duration of 5 minutes about a World Heritage city.
This year’s theme: “New Beginning. New Vision. New City.” In this particular pandemic context, we all have to take a different look at our surroundings. This situation offers a great opportunity for a new beginning, for a new way of seeing and appreciating our World Heritage. For this edition, young people are invited to reflect on the changes that are taking place in their city, but also on the opportunities that these changes may bring.

Once again, attractive prizes will be awarded:
- Honorary certificates for mayors and young people of the winning cities
- $ 1,500 CA for the winner of the 14-17 year-old category
- $ 3,000 CA for the winner of the 18-21 year-old category
- The video posted on the OWHC website and YouTube channel
- The winners will be announced during a ceremony that will take place during the XVI OWHC World Congress!
