You would be 79 years old today, and more than writing sadly because you are not here, I think of your favorite Latin phrase: “Verba volant, opra manent” which translates as: “the words fly, the work remains”; and as your work will never stop we will continue celebrating.
What could I express about you, dear Eusebio, that has not already been said. How much we would have to be thankful for the way you treated each village in order to safeguard its history and in general, what distinguishes us as Cubans.
Today, we celebrate your life and multiply our love for that mother to whom you dedicated effort and dedication, your beloved Cuba. Today we invite you to continue being part of the stories in El Camagüey that you loved so much; and what better way than adding your words to this tribute.
