The Rumba y Punto Heritage project, from the Historian’s Office of Camagüey city participated together with the José Martí Art Instructors Team, in the gala for the Cultural Worker’s Day held this Tuesday.
Caridad González Edward, project director, informs us that the Avellaneda Theater welcomed boys and girls led by dance teacher Roberto Buelga and music teacher Marilyn Quiroga.
Along with Rumba y Punto, there was also the project Construyendo Sueños, and the vocal group made up of instructors from the José Martí team, belonging to the Joaquín de Agüero District.
The Office of the Historian of Camagüey city stands out for the value it gives to the different artistic manifestations in its effort to safeguard the heritage of our province.
Rumba y Punto is the project that this institution dedicates to develop in children the love for two genres of intangible cultural heritage: Rumba and Cuban Punto.
