There is no doubt that good communication is essential to interact with the rest of human beings, yes, because one thing is that we engage in dialogue, and another thing it is to do it in the proper way. Communication, magic word… I suppose you agree with me on this, right? On the concept of communication, many have been the authors who have given their definition and today I wanted to mention this one by Master Vicente González Castro when he defined it: “Communication can be understood as exchange, interrelation, as dialogue, as life in society, all of this inextricably related to the productive needs of men… Communication is a shared thought…”
Today, in my article I will refer, especially, and dedicated to the day of the mother tongue, to a topic that those who know me know I am passionate about, proverbs and sayings, and that from my point of view are very important in communication, since they are undoubtedly a form of popular art that, through word and paper, come to stay to constitute the traditions of a town, region or city and even of an era, and even many run around the world without knowing when, how and where they arose, but the truth is that most of them have a special wisdom, an almost exact certainty and an incalculable validity. They start from the customs, the ways of acting and grandmothers, which over time remain and are passed from generation to generation to form part of literature and philosophy. Our own sayings…
And just thinking about some of these proverbs or sayings that characterize the people of Camagüey, and wherever you are and you hear them, you know that they are talking about this land of waterpots, of red clay and industrious people, it is that I have wanted to put some of these as examples: – Nuevitas, puerto de mar… -Completo Camagüey… -Te quiere y abraza Camagüey… -…finalizó su carrera, como Dolores Rondón… As always, and proud to be from Camagüey, I wanted to remember this day and above all to urge everyone to preserve our mother tongue, and to keep it alive, because this is an inseparable part of our heritage and cultural identity, so I say goodbye, leaving you with this postulate of the Russian writer Chinghis Aitmatov: “ The immortality of a people resides in their language. The language of each people is a general human value. Each language represents a creation of human genius. Therefore, we should not disdain any of them, whatever the people to which they belong or the degree of development they have reached”.
