Office of the Historian of Camagüey City also present at FITCuba 2019

Dedicated to the tourism of events and incentives, with Spain as the guest of honor, the International Tourism Fair FITCuba 2019 will open its doors between May 6 and 11, at the Morro Cabaña complex in Havana;  city ​​to which the event also pays tribute, in its 500th anniversary.

The city of Camagüey, one of the tourist destinations that struggles to consolidate from the creation and promotion of integrated tourism products together with the development of its infrastructure, will be justly represented in the stand that for the occasion will assemble the territorial office of INFOTUR.

In this edition with the aim of promoting the tourist product “To Live Camagüey” and the Santa Cecilia Convention Center, the only one of its kind in the province; in addition to the values ​​and traditions treasured by the historic center of the city – included in the World Heritage List since 2008 – the Office of the Historian of Camagüey City (OHCC) will be included in the activities of FITCuba.

As part of the actions that are projected between the OHCC and the Delegation of MINTUR in the province is to dedicate one day to the public good campaign “City that I live, city that I am”, sample of the work of citizen awareness that should exist in all the heritage cities of Cuba; experience that talks in addition to the necessary integration of actors, for the proper management of a city with 505 years of admirable history.

Camagüey will take, as every year, sample of its local crafts, as well as the varied gastronomic, recreational and cultural offers existing in the territory: one of the most lavish in history, traditions and artistic expressions on the Island.
