This morning Plaza Maceo, in the city of tinajones, dressed in many colors. Flags and scarves adorned the site to remember the birth of two great warriors from two different eras, but that history united in ideals of freedom: Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara.
Songs for the guerrillas, handing over of the Young Communist League card to new members and pioneer poetry were nuances of this tribute; which brought together the students of Renato Guitar and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes historic center schools, as well as workers from the vicinity and neighbors.
Their sole purpose was to put red roses at the feet of the Bronze Titan and thank the time, for having chosen on June 14 to give two brave children to the Cuban homeland.
