The meeting of the Network of Offices of the Historian and the Conservator of the Heritage Cities of Cuba took place, as usual, within the framework of the National Symposium Challenges in the Management and Administration of Cities.
The discussion of the participants focused on the Draft General Law for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and Natural Heritage, presented by Dr. Vilma Rodríguez Tápanes, Director of Monuments of the National Council of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture.
At the meeting, specialists from the cities of Gibara and Sagua La Grande, recently incorporated into the Network, highlighted the values of these heritage cities declared National Monuments in 2004 and 2011, respectively.
On the other hand, Dr. Magda Resik Aguirre informed the directors of the Offices of the Historian and the Conservator about the results of the 1st Communication Workshop held this Tuesday and in which the foundations were laid for the creation of a communication strategy for the network.
Since its creation, the Network of Offices of the Historian and the Conservator of the Heritage Cities of Cuba facilitates the exchange and participation of specialists who love and work to safeguard our heritage.
