The VIII Conference on Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development opens its doors in Camagüey to dedicate a plural vision of culture, this time to the Spanish heritage in several regions of the country.
With a scientific program that welcomes 22 researches that recreate themes such as: the Hispanic presence in the Yoruba culture of Cuban santería from Camagüey, the Spanish presence from Sancti Spiritus, the Asturian presence in Guantanamo and the construction of the festivities and the role of music from the Chapter Acts of the Civil Cabildo of Havana; The first day of the event will take place.
Within the program, the inaugural words were highlighted by the president of the Organizing Committee, Iván Mora, who urged the participants to continue working to maintain culture as the nation’s shield and sword.
At the end of the morning session you can enjoy a documentary exhibition of the funds of the Archive of the OHCC and the loans of the Ignacio Agramonte Provincial Museum.
In the afternoon, the House of Cultural Diversity will be open with the exhibition “Alisios” that has photographs and objects from the different Spanish communities of Camagüey.
While at night the concert hall “José Marín Varona” will host the Choir of Cantabria, a luxury proposal to close this day.
