With the Helms Burton we do not understand

Relations between Cuba and the United States of America have been a story of love and interest since long time before the Thirteen Colonies were a nation.

This was one of the ideas developed by Camagüey jurist Jesús Guerra in his conversation about the Helms Burton Law with the workers of the Office of the Historian of Camagüey city.

The lawyer summarized the most important facts of the dispute between the West Indian island and its northern neighbor, ranging from interventionist policies, interference, and damage to the economy, sabotage and attacks, to the context in which the famous law was enacted.

Guerra explained the four titles of the unjust American legislation and the repercussion that it would have in our country if it were accepted.  In addition, he made a call to face indiscipline, illegalities and corruption, in his opinion evils as harmful as the imperialist law itself.

Those present at the event alluded to some of the main buildings of the city that passed into the hands of the revolution after its triumph and that could be the target of claims, such as the popular pizzeria in the Plaza del Gallo, the house of cultural diversity, and the Santa Cecilia convention center, which would represent the loss of their work for hundreds of Camaguey people.

The meeting also made it clear that Cuba will never accept these measures, which the Helms Burton would only apply if the socialist government was not in power and as Antonio Maceo said, who tries to seize Cuba will only collect dust from its soil flooded in blood, if he does not perish in the fight.
