You are my protagonist…

The first kick filled your face with admiration and joy.  It was a dream to see my photo of an embryo growing, feeding me in your belly with love and tender care.  Surely the discomfort when sleeping, smelling seasonings and walking with me in your belly, even with the passage of time, you have not been able to forget it.

And what can I say about that May 2nd when I wanted to know the world?  How many pains and discomforts did I cause you?  You just waited to hear my cry to faint.  You had many hard times mommy.  I know I was a little spoiled during those nine months and also after; because according to you tell me, I did not assimilate milk of any kind and your concern for my life grew.

I know that graduating as a mother is not an easy task.  It takes a lot of sleeplessness, setbacks, victories and also the support of a family like the one around you, which has always done so.

In this story, although some details revolve around me, you are the only and definitive protagonist.  You are the woman who gave me being, all love and affection, which for 29 years has the title of the best mom in the world, graduated with honors.

I’m sure mommy, like yours, there are thousands of stories and these days when Mother’s Day is approaching, they are remembered with the most tender sweetness that exists on the face of the earth.  That, which exceeds the impossible and breaks down all barriers, because it is called mother’s love.

For you, and for all the mothers who daily reveal themselves in this life and in the other one for their children.  A million kisses and thanks for always being by my side.  I love you
