Young soul

In the soul of young people there is an indescribable flame of dedication and commitment that makes the proposed works possible.  In the Office of the Historian this maxim becomes palpable, because its collective is nuanced between experience and youth making each task a happy reality.

When walking along the boulevard Van Horne, Joaquín de Agüero square or touring the mock-up that recreates the combat where El Mayor lost his life, in Jimaguayú paddock, the essence of the young people who shared ideas and work is perceived without hesitation.

The secretary of the base committee of the UJC in the Office, Patricia Gamboa, cannot hold her feelings when she talks about the work that five young entrepreneurs started doing, including her when she assumed the task of directing it more than a year ago.

“It was a challenge, because I had never led, we were very few, we even thought about creating a mixed committee and including young people in the PCC committee, but we took on the task of reorganizing and making ourselves felt, and I think we have achieved this; in each task we were present, always trying to be an example and to add more young people to our ranks, always remembering the tradition that in the past has had the base committee of our institution.”

Her eyes shine with a unique flash, Patricia’s commitment is so palpable that even with multiple tasks and remnants in her personal life; she continues passionate about the work of the base committee.

“I remember that the meetings were practically talking with friends, without so much protocol, and interesting ideas arose to continue maturing, we have participated in volunteer work, in meetings, in parties, in sport games, in cultural events, we have proudly represented the institution that has welcomed us to make us grow: our Office.”

This is what we are a perfect mix of desires to do, dedication, sacrifice and also experience. We are a proud collective of defending values, traditions, of being and feeling for the city.
